In-Line Fax Interface for IPS 7000 Secure Telephone
The ALLFAX 1000 interface allows the use of the IPS 7000 as in-line fax encryption equipment with any Group 3 Fax Machine.
Connection to the fax is made by inserting the ALLFAX between the telephone line connector and the fax machine. This allows encryption of facsimile messages without the need of a fax machine equipped with a crypto interface.
The ALLFAX 1000 includes latest generation fax modems for secure fax message transmission and reception at speeds of up to 14400bps. Transmission, both in crypto and in clear complies fully with ITU-T G3 standards, including ECM error correction.
A detailed communication report allows an easy tracing of messages in crypto and in clear.
The smart card reader/writer integrated into the ALLFAX 1000 enhances the capabilities of the IPS 7000 ALLFAX 1000 combination. The smart card can be used for identification and user key storage. Other smart card based applications can be developed according to individual customer requirements.
The ALLFAX 1000 does not alter the performances of the IPS 7000 for secure voice. An RS232 9 pin connector allows the connection to a PC for secure data communication and software upgrading.
When two telephone lines are available, switching between fax line and voice/data line is automatic.
ALLFAX 1000 is a communication interface and therefore contains no security sensitive elements. The ciphering process is totally controlled by the IPS 7000.
The ALLFAX 1000 is extremely easy to use, as it requires the same operations as for secure fax communication with the IPS 7000 alone.
