The new XD version of the Locator has been radically redesigned and is much smaller than the earlier version yet even more sensitive and user friendly. Featuring a unique full colour control & display unit built into the handle, the Locator XD represents the very latest technology yet is robust and strong enough to withstand the rigours of search use. The unit has the ability to be configured to be as versatile as possible, providing the operator with the option of a 'all in one' single body unit or having the antenna seperated from the control module. The Locator XD has been made modular to enable alternative antennas to be added to the system in the future.

The Locator XD gives the operator the choice of four different transmit frequencies to allow for local conditions and regulations.

Small enough to be hand carried for air travel, the transit weight of the complete system including batteries, charging unit, transit case etc., is just 5.4 Kgs making it ideal for sweep teams that are continually on the move.

Radio transmitters, receivers, power amplified microphones, electronic timers and similar equipment invariably contain semi-conductors and are, therefore, open to discovery with the use of the Locator XD which is simple and practical to use and especially efficient for the experienced operator.

The unit incorporates 'state-of-the-art' technology and uses the small lightweight search head.

The Locator XD is produced by a team of engineers with field and production experience in the specialised radio techniques necessary for the high standards of performance that both electronic Counter Measure and Anti Terrorism searches demand.

All the features and accessories for a complete detection routine are included in the equipment which comes supplied with a detailed instruction manual, antenna, two re-chargable batteries, charger, earphones and transit case with pre-formed foam inserts.

Operation is straightforward, preparation reduced to a minimum and the unit is ready for instant use.
