The DRAGON Portable Searchlight is without doubt the most powerful cordless lamp available in the world today, capable of illuminating enormous areas at ranges in excess of 800m. DRAGON is in service with virtually every United Kingdom police force and defence, law enforcement and security agencies worldwide. The searchlight is designed for combat use under the most arduous conditions.

MiISpec nickel cadmium batteries ensure a long operational life and long term storage in a charged or discharged state. Dragon has some unique features such as allowing external power for unlimited duration lighting when connected to any 12V source.

Dragon is extremely reliable, simple to operate and easy to maintain. Each searchlight has full operational instructions printed on the carcass and supporting accessories. Various types of charger are available from normal mains 110/220/240 VAC to special solar panels and multi voltage units for airframe, military vehicles and fire tenders allowing any input between 18V DC to 28V DC.

Dragon is used for the following tasks:

• POLICE: Dragon is an essential aid in all aspects of police work from SWAT & firearms teams to traffic vehicles and general patrol work. Over 4000 lamps are in service with police users and seen in port, airport, drugs, dog team, surveillance and even mounted tasks.



• MILITARY: Dragon has been in Ministry of Defence service for many years and is capable of long-term central storage ready for immediate issue. Servicing and parts replacement is simple, requiring no training or special tools. All spares have fitting instructions. Special options are available and both Infa-red and remote control have military applications.



• RIOT CONTROL: Dragon is used for tactical deployment of personnel as well as light dazzling and illuminating hostile groups. Being totally portable the lamp is essential equipment for rapid deployment teams and snatch squads, allowing hands-free operation while carrying shields and batons as well as providing illumination for aimed shots with riot guns at night.



• BOMB DISPOSAL: Since 1980 Dragon has been the standard EOD illumination aid with the UK MoD and used with remote control in conjunction with bomb search and IED disruption. Standard field telephone cable is used to initiate the Dragon and a selection of hard wire and encrypted digital radio controllers are available.



• SURVEILLANCE: Dragon is an excellent infa-red emitter producing IR between 840nm to 1100nm for either pure IR lighting or IR enhancement of Image Intensifiers Giving as much as as x3 increase in gain for deep shadow penetration, photography or with II/CCTV.



• SECURITY: Dragon is essential for any security task in search work, patrols, investigation and incident illumination. Hands-off capability is vital for motorcycle and dog teams and many Dragon are used for border patrols in Third World countries.
