The Red Box Snake Eye is an extremely cost effective electronic camera system, for search and inspection purposes. It is ideal for rapid general inspections in hard to reach places or, if combined with a boroscope or fibrescope, it is used for detailed technical inspections through narrow openings or for covert surveillance work Evidence can easily be down loaded for recording purposes. This system is completely self contained and highly portable. It combines a TFT display unit that delivers crystal clear full colour pictures, in a modular package that weighs less than 1.5 Kg. It is supplied with an auto focus, waterproof (15 m depth ) general search camera that has it's own built in light source AND/OR a "C mount" camera that will screw on to any standard boroscope or fibrescope adapter, for access through small apertures, e.g. into engines. The general search camera is fitted to a wide variety of reach attachments which make it extremely versatile. For example it is used to position NDT equipment in hard to see areas or can be fitted to the hand to search in difficult and delicate situations, such as behind instrument panels or around trapped bodies in RTA's. It can be used underwater or for contraband search in containers or vehicles. It can also be used for covert surveillance. The very compact visual display unit can be attached to the operator's hand or neck and has a rotateable screen so that, regardless of the camera orientation, the picture can always be viewed "head up". Camera cable can be up to 325 feet (100m). The TFT screen is protected by a Lexan outer cover. The display module contains a removable, rechargeable NIMH battery ( approx. 45 min. duration) and an external "power-IN" port that can draw power from the belt battery pack ( approx. 6 hours duration) or from the AC mains adapter. The VDU also has a "composite video" out port for direct download to video (NTSC or PAL) or, via a Capture Vision hardware card /software, to a laptop computer for record filing, print out, or onward transmission of evidence. A number of accessories are available including, Belt battery packs, long reach extendable poles with articulating heads and "Goose Neck" adapters that can be formed into a variety of shapes. Light weight carbon extending wands and sectional carbon poles, with articulating heads are optional. Xenon waterproof light adapters are also available to extend vision in larger dark areas. The system will operate with any "C" mount Endoscope adapter and the whole assembly is supplied in a rugged padded carrying case | |||
